Baked Curry Puffs 焗咖哩角

Super delicious snack filled with curried potatoes, golden and crispy puffs, always the perfect snack! Oven baked instead of deep fry, easy and healthier.

Baked Curry Puffs

When I was kid, deep fry spring rolls and curry puffs are always my favourite party food. My mum only made it whenever there was party, so I always looking forward to it.

Same as spring rolls, the fillings are flexible, you can put anything you like to make curry puffs. Potatoes, pork, beef are very common, add some curry powder to cook the fillings, then wrap with wanton wrapper. This oven – baked version is so easy, fast and healthy. I am sure it will be the hit of the party!

小時候我最喜歡的派對小食是 – 春卷的朋友 -咖哩角!相信很多人都跟我一樣,超喜歡這個金黃酥脆,三角形的炸物,一口一個,超美味!

做法簡單,餡料可以隨自己喜歡加入馬鈴薯或其他肉類,加些咖哩粉粉香,非常惹味!這個是焗爐版,不用油炸,減輕負擔又省油!焗後超酥脆,作下午茶點或派對小食,必定大受歡迎~

Baked Curry Puffs

For the filling, add oil in hot pan, cook the curry powder and turmeric powder for 30 seconds. Then add in cubed potatoes and carrots, cook for few minutes, add some water and put the lid on for 10 minutes. When the potatoes are softened, add peas and season with salt and pepper. 先將馬鈴薯,紅蘿蔔切丁。熱鑊下油,然後下咖哩粉及黃薑粉,用小火炒30秒。下馬鈴薯及紅蘿蔔,炒數分鐘,然後下水,蓋上鑊蓋,用中小火煮約10分鐘,或至馬鈴薯軟熟。下青豆多炒數分鐘,下鹽及黑胡椒粉調味,盛起待涼備用。

Cut the wonton wrappers into half (into 3 pieces if is big wrapper), put a teaspoon filling near the corner, then wrap it as triangle and close the edges with some flour water. (2 teaspoons of flour plus 1 teaspoon of water) Keep wrapping the rest of the wrappers.Baked Curry Puffs

將春卷皮切成兩半, 如很大的春卷皮,可一分為三。將餡料放在春卷皮的一端 *不要放太多餡料,否則會露餡。將春卷皮向下摺,塗麵粉水(麵粉+水)封口,然後再摺,再封口。封口處朝下。

Place the curry puffs on baking sheet, brush some egg wash on top. Pop in preheated oven at 180C, for 13 -15 minutes or until is golden.

將咖哩角放在烘焙紙上,在表面塗一層蛋液。放入已預熱180度焗爐,焗約10 -15分鐘,至表面金黃色即成~

Ingredients
  1. 10 wonton wrappers
  2. 2 potatoes, cubed
  3. 1 carrot, cubed
  4. green peas
  5. 2 teapsoons curry powder
  6. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
