Baked Rice Balls 焗飯球

Baked rice balls with meat, vegetable and tomato sauce. Very simple, easy to make, and they are delicious! Golden crispy on the outside, great snack for adults and kids, or great party food!

I love these little rice balls, they are like arancini (Italian fried risotto balls) but bake instead of deep dry them. In summer seems like impossible to fry food at home, or I will go crazy!!

I made these rice balls with  leftover rice, you can add anything you like, really. The trick to make the rice balls really crispy at the outside is use cooked panko (Japanese breadcrumbs). Cook the panko with a tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over low heat, until they are golden.

Try this simple, easy, and delicious recipe, who doesn’t like rice balls right? And it is healthier, so enjoy it!

這個非常酥脆美味的飯球,其實是用昨晚的剩飯做的,超美味!下什麼材料都可,與飯拌勻,沾上麵包粉再烤,不用油炸,健康美味!大人小孩都喜歡,作派對小吃也不錯喔!

Cook the panko on the pan with one tablespoon of olive oil, cook on low heat until lightly golden. Let it cool completely.

將麵包糠與一湯匙橄欖油拌勻,放在平底鑊內,用小火煮至金黃色,盛起備用。

Mix the rice with cooked meat, sweetcorn, tomato sauce and egg, mix well. Season with salt and pepper.  Take out a small portion of rice, roll it into a ball. Coat the ball with flour, then dip in egg, and then panko. Place on lined baking sheet, pop in preheated oven at 180C, bake for ab0ut 25 to 30 minutes.
