Homemade Basil Walnut Pesto 自製青醬

Classic Italian pesto sauce that made of basil and walnut, very creamy, delicious and healthy. It takes only minutes to make and you can have it with pasta or salad. Buonissimo!

I love pesto, when I lived in Italy, pesto pasta is one of the dish I always cook or order in restaurant. I remember I taste the original pesto from Genova, it was absolutely amazing.

I love to make it with walnut, cause I don’t really like the pine nuts (Am I weird?) Walnut and basil make perfect combination, it is very healthy. It takes you only few minutes to make it, less than 5 I promise. You can use for pasta or salad, a must-have sauce in the fridge.

我超喜歡青醬,在意大利生活時我經常會煮,到餐廳也經常會點。這個是一個非常非常非常簡單的青醬,只需幾種材料,洗淨後放入果汁機攪拌即成!就是這樣不需五分鐘便做到!

Roast the walnuts in oven at 160C for 10 minutes (sometimes I skin this step). Put the garlic and walnut in food processor, blend until combined. Then add in basil leaves, parmesan cheese and olive oil, blend for about 10 seconds, season with salt and pepper.

先將核桃放入焗爐160度焗10分鐘(這步驟可省略)。將核桃及蒜頭放入攪拌器內,攪拌均勻,然後加入羅勒葉,芝士及橄欖油,再攪拌10秒,再下點鹽及黑胡椒粉調味。

Ingredients
  1. 70 gram basil
  2. 40 gram walnut
  3. 1 clove garlic
  4. 130ml olive oil
  5. 50 gram parmesan cheese
  6. 材料:
  7. 羅勒葉 -70克
  8. 核桃 -40克
  9. 蒜頭 -1瓣
  10. 橄欖油 -130毫升
  11. Parmesan芝士 -50克
Instructions
  1. Roast the walnuts in oven at 160C for 10 minutes (sometimes I skin this step).

Notes
  1. You can keep the pesto in a jar and store in fridge for a week.
