Hong Kong-Style Curry Fishballs 港式咖喱魚蛋

Classic Hong Kong street food that you can see everywhere in Hong Kong. Super spicy, almost neon yellow sauce, with small fishballs, this is heaven!

Curry fishballs must be the most popular Hong Kong street food at all time. The curry sauce is the most important thing, some stores been using the curry sauce for years, which make it tastier.

It is impossible to find the Hong Kong-style curry fishballs abroad, so the only way is to make it at home. The sauce is as delicious as it should be and it is such a comfort food.

Bring a pot of water to boil, cook the fishballs (I add some sausages and squid balls as well.)

Add oil in hot pot, cook minced garlic and curry powder for a while. Then add in water and all seasoning, bring it to boil.

Then add in fishballs, simmer for 3 minutes. Then take out the fishballs, set aside. Then add (3 tsp corn starch + 2 tbsp water) into a pot, keep stirring and cook for a minute or until the sauce is thickened. Drizzle the sauce onto the fishballs, enjoy! 

先用一煲沸水略煮魚蛋,盛起備用。

用小火炒蒜蓉和咖哩粉,炒一炒。然後下水及所有調味料,用中火煮沸。

下所有魚蛋,用小火煮三分鐘。將魚蛋盛起,然後下 (3茶匙生粉+2湯匙水)與煲內的醬汁拌勻,用小火煮一分鐘後,再淋在魚蛋上即成~

Ingredients
  1. 600 gram fishballs
  2. 3 teaspoon garlic, minced
  3. 2 tablespoons curry powder
  4. 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  5. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  6. 1 teaspoon sugar
  7. 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  8. 400 ml water
  9. 材料:
  10. 魚蛋 600克
  11. 蒜蓉 3茶匙
  12. 咖喱粉 2湯匙
  13. 蠔油 1湯匙
  14. 鹽 1/4茶匙
  15. 糖 1茶匙
  16. 生抽 1茶匙
  17. 水 400毫升
