Stir-fried Noodles (Chow Mien) 雜錦炒麵

Simple, easy, delicious stir-fried noodles. I called it free-style, cause you can add almost anything you like on it. It is like Mac and Cheese for the west, and it is sooooo comforting and filling.

In Chinese restaurante and takaway stalls, chow mien is always the most popular one. This is the most easiest Asian dish, everyone can cook it at home, and I can proudly say I do cook better than the restaurant one.

love noodles and I mean I really need to eat noodles at least three times a week. I tried to buy fresh so-called asian noodles in supermarket, but it is just not the same as the Asian one. So I suggest you go to Asian grocery store to buy noodles, they are authentic and taste better. Do buy the higher quality one, and it makes a whole world of different. Try and you will love it! Promise!

Recipe - stir-fried NoodlesCut all the ingrediente into thin slices, I use ham, meat, fishcake, carrot and cabbage. Add oil in hot pan, add the noodles and cook for 5 minutes, then set aside. Add a bit more oil, cook the meat, ham, fishcakes and carrots first, for 4 minutes. Then add bean sprout and cabbage, cook until soften. You can add some water if it is too dry. 

Add the seasoning and noodles to mix well. Stir fry for 3 minutes, then it is done.

將所有材料切幼絲。熱鑊下油,先炒油麵5分鐘,盛起備用。再下少許油,下肉絲,火腿,魚片及紅蘿蔔,炒4分鐘。然後下芽菜及椰菜,炒至軟身。最後下調味料及炒麵拌勻,炒3分鐘後上碟!

Ingredients
  1. 500 gram noodles
  2. 1/4 cabbage, thickly sliced
  3. 80 gram pork, thinly sliced
  4. 80 gram ham, thinly sliced
  5. 1/2 carrot, thinly sliced
  6. Fish cake, to taste
  7. Bean sprout, to taste
Seasoning
  1. 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  2. 1 teaspoon corn starch
  3. 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  4. 1 tablespoon water
  5. 材料:
  6. 油麵 -500克
  7. 椰菜 -1/4個
  8. 豬肉 -80克
  9. 火腿 -80克
  10. 紅蘿蔔 -1/2條
  11. 魚片 -適量
  12. 芽菜 -適量
  13. 調味料:
  14. 老抽 -1湯匙
  15. 粟粉 - 1茶匙
  16. 糖 -1/2茶匙
  17. 水- 1湯匙
Instructions
