Walnut Cookies (With Video) 核桃酥

Classic Chinese cookies – walnut cookies, crispy and golden cookies with walnut flavour. 

Every time when go to the Chinese traditional bakery, I always love the walnut cookies. It also one of the traditional cookies that we give to people when we get marry.

 Very easy to make, with chopped walnuts inside and you can always top with one more walnut, more walnuts, why not?! 

傳統中式餅乾-核桃酥,金黃香脆,充滿核桃香,美味可口。

每次吃”嫁女餅”,我都必吃大大個的核桃酥。核桃營養價值豐富,健康又美味!做法非常簡單,做一大盤,大滿足!

Cream the butter for 1 minutes, then add in sugar until well combined. 

Sift in flour, baking powder and baking soda, mix well. Add in egg and chopped walnuts, mix well, then gently form a dough. Add some milk if the dough is too dry. 

Divide the dough into small pieces, roll into balls and top with one walnut if you like. Brush some egg wash on top, pop in preheated oven at 180C, bake for 20 minutes or until golden. 

用電動打蛋器打發奶油約一分鐘,然後加入糖拌勻。

再篩入麵粉、泡打粉和蘇打粉,拌勻,加入雞蛋。再加入核桃碎,再用手堆成麵糰。如麵糰太乾,可加點牛奶。

將麵糰分成小份,搓圓,在上面加上核桃。放在鋪有烘焙紙的焗盤上,塗上蛋液,放入已預熱180度C焗爐,焗約20分鐘至金黃色即成!

Ingredients
  1. 100 gram unsalted butter
  2. 90 gram sugar
  3. 220 gram plain flour
  4. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  5. 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  6. 1 egg
  7. 80 gram walnuts, chopped
  8. 1-2 tablespoons milk
  9. 材料:
  10. 無鹽奶油 100克
  11. 糖 90克
  12. 中筋麵粉 220克
  13. 梳打粉 1/2茶匙
  14. 泡打粉 1/4茶匙
  15. 雞蛋 1隻
  16. 核桃碎 80克
  17. 牛奶 1-2湯匙
Instructions
