Apple and Peach Crumble 蘋果蜜桃金寶

Everyone loves crumble or crisp right? A classic dessert with cooked fruit and top with crisp crumb. Serve with vanilla ice-cream, custard or cream. Yum! Simple food with little effort and great comfort!

We loooooooooove crumble, I mean love love! Always have it at home, every two weeks maybe. The apples are cheap and always in season here, the recipe is simple that I don’t have to look for my recipe. Crumble is in my mind! 

Beside the classic apple crumble, it is good to mix with other fruit. So far, I found this combination works the best! The sourness of the apple with the sweetness from the peach. It is really delicious! Actually the rhubarb with strawberris crumble is great too! I will share it with you some other time.

The thing about making good apple crumble is to use the cooking apple, I usually use Bramley or Granny Smith. You can also add some oat on top to make it even crispier. If you never make crumble before, give it a try! It is simple but delicious. Great dessert for any time!

近來都喜歡吃蘋果金寶(奶酥),這是西方的經典家常甜點,烤焗的水果再配上酥脆的奶酥,伴香草雪糕,卡士達醬或忌廉享用。

簡單但超美味,也可以有不同變化,除了用蘋果外,還可用其他水果如蜜桃,梨,草莓,大黃等。這次將簡單的蘋果奶酥加入蜜桃,甜甜酸酸的配搭,非常開胃。做法超容易,作宴客甜點更是超讚!

Apple & Peach Crumble

Preheat the oven to 180C. In a large bowl, combine the cubed butter, flour and sugar together. Use your hands to crumble it, or you can put in food processor to blend it until the texture is like breadcrumbs. Set aside.

先預熱焗爐180度。在大碗內將已切粒的牛油,紅糖及麵粉拌勻,用手捏碎牛油,與其他材料拌勻成麵包糠狀。也可用食物處理器打發。

Wash, peel and core the apples, cut into thick slices. Drizzle with some lemon juice, add in demerara sugar, ground cinnamon and mix well. Transfer apples and peaches to oven-proof dish, then sprinkle the crumble topping evenly. Sprinkle some oatmeal on top.

Bake in oven for about 35 to 40 minutes until the top is golden. Do not overcook it or it will become very hard. Let it cool for about 15 minutes, serve with warm curstard, vanilla ice-cream or cream.

將蘋果洗淨,去皮,切片,淋上檸檬汁,與紅糖及肉桂粉拌勻。將蘋果及切片的蜜桃放入烤盤內,在上面平均鋪上金寶,再灑上燕麥片。放入焗爐焗35至40分鐘至表面金黃色。待涼15分鐘,配以雲尼拿雪糕,卡士達醬或忌廉享用。

Ingredients
  1. 6 - 8 cooking apples, thick sliced
  2. 1 canned peach, thick sliced
  3. 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  4. 1 - 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
For the Crumble
  1. 175 gram all-purpose flour
  2. 110 gram unsalted butter, diced
  3. 110 gram brown sugar
  4. 2 tablespoons oatmeal
  5. 材料 :

  8. 紅糖 -2湯匙
  9. 肉桂粉-1-2茶匙
  10. 金寶材料:
  11. 中筋麵粉-175克
  12. 無鹽牛油-110克
  13. 紅糖 -110克
  14. 燕麥片 -2湯匙
Instructions
  1. For the Crumble: Put all the crumble ingredients into food processor, blend it until the texture is like breadcrumbs. Or you can use your hands to crumble it.
  2. For the Filling: Mix the apples and peaches together, drizzle some lemon juice and mix with sugar and ground cinnmon.
  3. Transfer them into oven-proof baking dish, sprinkle the crumble topping evenly. Sprinkle with some oatmeal on top.
  4. Pop in oven for 35 to 40 minutes, until golden brown and the toppings are set. Let it cool for at least 15 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice-cream, warm custard or cream.
