Chicken à la King with Rice 白汁雞皇飯

Chicken à la King with rice, creamy white sauce with chicken and mushroom. In france, it serve with bread or  pasta. But this is actually copy cat of the rice from KFC, anyone like it?

Chicken à la King with Rice

I love KFC mushroom rice and chicken rice more than their fried chicken. But since I live in Europe and UK, I found out actually not every KFC serve these delicious rice. So probably you don’t know what I am talking about.

Anyway, this is very delicious chicken dish with creamy white sauce, you can add some potatoes, mushrooms, carrots and serve with plain rice. You can easily make the white sauce, it sounds fancy but it is so easy to make. It is just delicious and comforting, even you never try the KFC rice before.

小時候很喜歡吃KFC的白汁雞皇飯,細細盒,簡單又美味!英國的KFC沒有賣這個飯,想吃就自己煮囉~這個絕對是大大小朋友都喜歡的料理,香濃creamy的白醬,嫰滑雞肉加蔬菜,超美味的!

白汁是自己調的,不用罐頭,不用忌廉,做法簡單易學。只需牛油,麵粉和牛奶,白汁用途多,可用來煮意粉,焗蔬菜都可以。有蔬菜又有肉,健康美味的一餐!

Marinate the chicken with some salt and pepper, for 20 minutes. Add oil in hot pan, cook the chicken for few minutes.

先將雞肉切小塊,用少許鹽及黑胡椒粉醃雞肉20分鐘。熱鑊下油,下雞肉,煮數分鐘至肉變色。

Then add in onion,  potatoes and carrots, cook for 3 minutes. Add some water to a pan, with  a lid on, cook on low heat for about 10 minutes, or until the potatoes softened.2016-05-03_04.31.48然後下洋蔥,馬鈴薯及紅蘿蔔丁,煮3 – 5分鐘,然後下水,蓋上鑊蓋,用中小火煮約10分鐘,至馬鈴薯軟熟。下青豆拌勻,下鹽及黑胡椒粉調味。

Add in green peas , season with salt and pepper,  cook for a minute and set aside.

For the white sauce, melt the butter in the pan, then add flour and mix well quickly. Gradually add in milk, keep whisking for about 2 -3 minutes, the sauce will thicken. 2016-05-03_04.32.37

白汁做法: 在鑊內下牛油,煮至牛油溶化後,下麵粉,快速拌勻。逐少加入牛奶,不停攪拌至沒有粉粒,用小火煮至醬汁濃稠,下鹽及黑胡椒粉調味,就成白汁。

Add the sauce with the chicken, cook for a minute or so, that is it. Serve with plain rice.

Ingredients
  1. 350 gram chicken breasts or thigh
  2. 1/2 onion, sliced
  3. 1 carrot, cubed
  4. 1 -2 potatoes, cubed
  5. 50 gram garden peas
For the White Sauce
  1. 25 gram butter
  2. 30 gram plain flour
  3. 240ml milk
  4. 材料:
  5. 白飯 -2-3碗
  6. 雞肉 -350克
  7. 洋蔥(切粗絲)- 半個
  8. 馬鈴薯(切丁)- 1 -2個
  9. 紅蘿蔔(切丁)- 1 條
  10. 青豆 -適量
  11. 白汁:
  12. 牛油 -25克
  13. 中筋麵粉 -30克
  14. 牛奶 -240毫升
Instructions
