Ingredients
  • 15 ml milk
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 140 g butter
  • 130 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 120 g all-purpose flour
  • 8 g cocoa powder
  • 5 g baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp red food colouring
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 15 ml vinegar
Cream Cheese Frosting
  • 110 g cream cheese
  • 70 g butter
  • 400 g icing sugar
Instructions
  1. Mix milk and lemon juice, leave it for 10 minutes.

  2. Cream the butter and sugar for a minutes, add in eggs, mix well. Sift in flour, baking powder and cocoa powder, mix well.

  3. Add in red food colouring and milk mixture, then add in baking soda+vinegar.

  4. Evenly divide the batter into lined muffin tins. Pop in preheated oven at 170C, bake for 20 minutes or until fully cooked. Let it cool completely.

  5. For Cream Cheese Frosting: Beat butter and cream cheese until smooth. Then sift in icing sugar and beat for 2 minutes until pale. Put the frosting into piping bag and decorate on cupcakes! Enjoy!
