Ingredients
  • 4 g Instant Dried Yeast
  • 35 g Sugar
  • 50 ml Water
  • 280 g Bread Flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 4 g Salt
  • 30 g Butter
  • 100 ml Milk
  • Apricot Jam / Honey
  • 90 g Raisins
  • 30 g Melted Butter
Instructions
  1. Mix the instant dried yeast, sugar and water together, let it rest for 15 minutes.

  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, yeast mixture together. Then add in butter and 80ml water, mix well.

  3. Knead the dough for at least 10 minutes or until the dough is smooth and elastic. Place the dough in lightly oiled bowl, cover in cling film and let it rest for at least an hour, or until double its size.

  4. Take out the dough, press the dough to release the air. Roll the dough, brush the butter on half of the dough, then add raisins on top. Fold it, then roll again.

  5. Cut into 4 or 6 long strips, then twist it. Cover with cling film and let it rest for an hour. Brush some beaten egg on top, then pop in preheated oven at 180C, bake for about 15 to 18 minutes. Take it out and brush some apricot jam or honey on top to give it some shine. Enjoy!
