Homemade Burger Bun

Ingredients
  • 7 g Instant Dried Yeast
  • 30 g Sugar
  • 50 ml Water
  • 500 g Bread Flour
  • 220 ml Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 7 g Salt
  • 50 g Unsalted Butter
  • White Sesame Seeds
  • Beaten Egg
Instructions
  1. Mix the instant dried yeast, sugar and water together, let it rest for 15 minutes.

  2. Mix the bread flour and salt together. Then add in yeast mixture and egg, mix well.

  3. Then add in milk and butter, knead the dough for about 10 minutes or until the dough is smooth and elastic. Cover with cling film and let it rest for an hour or until the dough double its size.

  4. Take out the dough, press it to release air. Divide into 8 pieces, roll into a ball. Place it on lined baking sheet, cover with cling film and let it rest for another 1 hour.

  5. Brush some beaten egg on the dough, sprinkle withe sesame seeds. Place in preheated oven at 180C, bake for 18 to 20 minutes.
