Classic Walnut Pound Cake

Ingredients
  • 180 g Salted Butter 有鹽牛油
  • 160 g Sugar 糖
  • 3 Eggs 雞蛋
  • 160 g Cake flour 低筋麵粉
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder 泡打粉
  • 30 ml Milk 牛奶
  • 80-100 g Chopped Walnuts 合桃
Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until pale colour and very fluffy. Then add in eggs and mix well.

  2. Sift in flour and baking powder, gently mix it until well combine. Do not over mix it. Then add in milk and mix well.

  3. Finally add in chopped walnuts and mix well.

  4. Pour the batter into lined loaf tin (mine is 9inch x 4inch) , then top with more walnuts if you desire.

  5. Pop in preheated oven at 180C, bake for 45 – 55mins or until the cake is fully cooked.
