Kimchi Pancakes (Kimchijeon) 韓式泡菜煎餅

One of the most popular Korean food- Kimchi pancakes (Kimchijeon) , spicy, crispy, chewy and full of kimchi flavour. Very easy to make and is so much better make it yourself. Perfect snack!

Kimchi pancakes is one of my favourite Korean food, sometimes is only kimchi, or can add with seafood. They are all spicy, crispy and super delicious, a must-order dish everytime I go to Korean restaurants.

One thing about pancake that I hate is if they are too doughy, too much flour and not much “real stuff”. For me, it has to be every mouthful full of kimchi. So make it at home, I can add as many kimchi as I love, and maybe even kimchi more than flour. haha. 

It is extremely easy to make, and you can have just perfect kimchi pancake at home!

韓式料理我最愛之一就是泡菜煎餅,充滿泡菜香,酸酸辣辣特別開胃。

這個泡菜煎餅實在太~太~太美味喇!傳統泡菜煎餅在韓式餐廳都會吃到,但有時麵糊太厚,影響口感,我就不太喜歡。自己在家做,可以加多點泡菜,啖啖都有泡菜,酸酸的很開胃!

做法超簡單,將所有材料拌勻,再煎成餅即可。15分鐘搞定,作下午菜小食實在太讚!

Simply chop all the ingredients (kimchi, onion, sprin onion) into small pieces and put in a bowl.

Then add salt, sugar, flour and water to mix well. The batter should be thick.

先將洋蔥及青蔥切碎,泡菜切小塊。將所有材料及調味料拌勻成粉漿 (如粉漿較濃稠,可多加點水)。

Heat oil in hot pan over medium heat, pour the batter into a pan. (I pour all the batter to make a large pancake, or you can make small pancakes) Cook about few minutes until the bottom is crispy, then flip it over and cook until the other side is golden and crispy. Then turn on hight heat, and cook the pancake for the last one minute. 

Then cut into small pieces and serve.

燒熱平底鑊後下油,倒入粉漿,鋪平及成圓形,用中火煎至兩面金黃色即可。要不停反轉兩面煎,如大塊的煎餅需較長時間煎。然後切件享用。

*煎大一點的煎餅需要較長時間

Ingredients
  1. 150 gram kimchi
  2. 3 tablespoons kimchi juice
  3. 1/2 onion, chopped
  4. 1 spring onion, chopped
  5. 100 gram all-purpose or cake flour
  6. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  7. 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  8. 80 ml water
  9. 材料:
  10. 泡菜 -150克
  11. 泡菜汁 -3湯匙
  12. 洋蔥 -半個
  13. 青蔥 -1條
  14. 中或低筋麵粉 -100克
  15. 水-80毫升
  16. 鹽 -1/2 茶匙
  17. 糖 -1/2茶匙
