These mini apple pies (apple turnover) are so delicious, with golden puff pastry and soft cinnamon apples. Very easy to make, don’t need any special tool. Great afternoon snack or party food, everyone gonna love it!

I looove Mcdonald’s apple pie, especially the warm, soft, sweet cooked apple. Sooooo delicious, but the fried pastry is always too heavy for me. This is the mini apple pie (or called apple turnover)  with puff pastry, who can resist puff pastry? Just buy the store-bought one and it makes life so much easier. Add cinnamon with apple, only 20 minutes in oven and you will have perfect snack!

Puff pastry can make soooo many dessert and snack, so I always have few in freezer, just in case. Turnover is such a lovely snack, be creative, and add whatever you like. Nutella is one of the best choice! 😉

這個迷你蘋果批,金黃酥脆的酥皮,充滿蘋果香,酸甜的果肉,超美味! 非常容易做,只需用急凍酥皮(當然也可自製酥皮),包入蘋果餡料,焗20分鐘便成。 

最適合下午茶或派對小吃食,大人小孩都喜歡! 

Mini Apple Pies / Turnovers

Wash, peel and cut the apples into small pieces. Place in a hot pan and add some cinnamon and sugar. Cook on medium heat for few minutes until the apples are softened.

將蘋果去皮,切小塊。可用青蘋果Granny Smith,較適合烘焙,其他紅蘋果也可。在小鍋內,下蘋果,紅糖及牛油,拌勻。用中火煮約十分鐘至蘋果變軟,待涼備用。

Roll out the puff pastry and cut into rectangle (about 12 x 8cm) . Place a tablespoon of apple filling in the middle of the puff pastry, then brush some egg wash around the edges. Fold it and use a fork dip some flour, then seal the edges.2015-09-04_20.40.18將酥皮切成長方形,約12cm x 8cm。將蘋果餡料放在酥皮中間,周邊塗少許蛋液,然後對摺。用叉沾少許麵粉,在蘋果派邊位壓紋,封口。再在外層塗一層蛋液,灑少許紅糖在上面。將蘋果批放在鋪有烘焙紙的烤盤上,放入已預熱180度焗爐,焗約20分鐘或至表面金黃色即成!

Place the apple pies on lined baking sheet with parchment paper. Use a sharp knife to make 3 slits on the pastry. Brush some eggwash on the pastry and sprinkle with some brown sugar.

Place in preheated oven at 180C, bake for about 20 minutes or until golden.

Ingredients
  1. 1 sheet puff pastry
  2. 2 apples (I use Granny Smith)
  3. 25 gram butter
  4. 35 gram brown sugar plus more for sprinkle on top
  5. 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
